One Piece, Digimon Ghost Game Will Not Air New Episodes

 

Due to the Toei Animation breach, the official Twitter accounts for the One Piece and Digimon Ghost Game anime announced on Tuesday that Fuji TV will not air new episodes of the two shows on March 20.

Instead, Fuji TV will play a rerun of One Piece's "Special Episode: Barto's Secret Room" recap special on March 20, with the channel announcing that it will air more "Wano Country Best Selection" reruns or recap episodes after that.

The initial episode of Digimon Ghost Game will be re-aired on Fuji TV on March 20, and the broadcaster plans to air more "Digimon Ghost Game Selection" rerun episodes after that, according to the statement.

Both Twitter accounts claimed that staff will inform when the two series will resume screening new episodes at a later date.

Due to the pre-planned transmission of a marathon, Fuji TV did not air fresh episodes of One Piece and Digimon Ghost Game on Sunday.

Toei Animation said on Friday that on March 6, an unauthorised third party gained access to the company's network, causing some of the company's systems to be shut down. Toei Animation is looking into the incident and has stated that the hack will have an impact on the broadcast schedules for the anime series One Piece, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai, Delicious Party Precure, and Digimon Ghost Game.

On Sunday, TV Asahi was supposed to screen episode 6 of Delicious Party Precure, but owing to the hack, the channel instead showed episode 4 of the show. Instead of airing new episodes of the anime, TV Asahi will broadcast Hugtto! Precure Futari wa Precure All Stars Memories in three parts on March 20, March 27, and April 3.

Since the initial notification of the hack, the official website and Twitter account for the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime have not updated their intended timetable. On Saturday, the anime aired episode 31 instead of the promised new episode 73. It's unclear whether a fresh episode of the show will air later this week.
