The ultimate battle has commenced, and Aizawa will not be around this time

With the latest part of the series, My Hero Academia brought fans a very distressing update on popular character pro hero Eraser Head! Final Act of Kohei Horikoshi's original manga series is planning for the final fight between the heroes and the villains, and so the heroes are assembling every single hero capable of defeating All For One. Not long after the previous war against the Paranormal Liberation Front, the series will put many of its pro heroes back into the fire, but not all of them will make it through the second round.

Shota Aizawa suffered a lot of serious injuries during the paranormal Liberation Front War, which forced him to leave the battle. He was never going to be expected to recover in time for the next major conflict with the villains, & according to an update in the most recent chapter, he may not be able to get back into the action. Moreover, as a results of his injuries, he will never ever be able to use his quirk in the same capacity again.

Chapter 344 of My Hero Academia follows up a little before the final battle between the heroes and villains, and explains what the heroes' actual plan was. Aizawa had planned to use Aoyama and his family in such a way that they would be able to trick All For One into giving him the advantage, and it involved Kurogiri. Aizawa convinces Monoma to copy Kurogiri's warp quirk and train with it enough, and explains to Monoma that his quirk is "all but worthless" due to the injury to his eye.

He states that this means he will be absent from upcoming battle, but it could be for much longer. Given enough time, he might be able to recover from all of this damage, but time is the one thing the heroes don't have right now. The ultimate battle has commenced, and Aizawa will not be around this time. It means that the heroes will no longer have the edge that his quirk brought them the last time.
